Anthony and I met at a CrossFit competition. His proposal was definitely unexpected and still to this day it brings a big smile to my face. We had fall pictures scheduled. It was cold and snowy and I was dreading them because of it! Mid pictures our photographer told Anthony to wipe the snow off of his shoe which was their code word.” I turned around to see what was taking him so long and to my surprise there he was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring. I knew he was the one because life made sense and I felt at home.
We were supposed to elope in September 2020 but it was canceled due to Covid. We were lucky enough to manage to have a small intimate wedding with immediate family which was better than we could have ever wanted. Anthony stayed at his parents house the night before because we wanted to avoid seeing each other until we met at the end of the isle. Our CrossFit gym knew we loved our weekend workouts so Tim (gym coach) accommodated and made two separate classes with two separate workouts. Anthony gave Tim my wedding gift early and as I came back inside from our warm up I saw a cute pink bag on the ground. As the day went on Anthony was telling me about how he had felt and to say it gave me butterflies and made me emotional was an understatement. It made me want to hurry to the alter even more. Fast forward to the ceremony and seeing him turn around I have never seen a grooms face light up more than his. Our vows were personally wrote and I was able to surprise him with mine in mandarin which I was proud of because it was not easy to learn! Still to this day I couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Our anniversary tradition is to slow dance to our wedding song. We have been together since 2018 and I still say “home is where Anthony is” and now we have a beautiful sassy little girl who has filled our hearts with even more love than we could ever imagined."
