Daniel and I met on Bumble. His proposal was perfect! It was the first day where it wasn’t freezing outside last year! We spent the morning together and decided to take our puppy Bodhi for a walk in uptown normal. There’s a huge space in the center where they hold mini concerts, get togethers, and tons of space for people to spread out and chill. We came upon a few baby pugs! So cute! We played with them for a bit and chatted with their owner! I was getting a little hangry so once the cute puppies left, I got up to get my purse. While trying to tell Daniel he needed to hurry up because I was getting hungry he called my name. I turned around(in a huff and annoyed) and saw him on one knee, ring box in his hand and… our dog losing his dang mind 😂 I said a few words I won’t repeat and kept saying shut up!” I was so surprised! Finally after what I’m sure to Daniel felt like an hour I said yes!! We were both crying. And bodhi…. He was still flipping out! No clue what was going on, but mom and dad were hugging… and he hates it when we give each other hugs without him so of course we had to get a group hug in!
My wedding day was the least stressful day of my planning journey! A lot of it had to do with the details that I spent time on making sure we’re smoothed our way ahead of time instead of worrying about them so much closer to the wedding day!!
Everyone involved, from our family who banned together to be our set up/tear down team. To all my sweet friends at work who I hired to use their talents and skills during our day to make it that much more special! Our photographer had only done 1 wedding before, but she knocked it out of the park. More amazing than I could have hoped for! We truly got to spend the day with each other and celebrate our love in the most special way! If I could do it again this week I would! Simply magical!
