I learned Joe was the one after a few short months, but I REALLY knew he was the one after I was diagnosed with cancer. We all were hurt, scared of the uncertainty with this shock of devastating news, but Joe buckled down and encouraged me everyday to FIGHT, he didn’t buckle under pressure. We had a little baby that needed full time care and now a stage 4 cancer patient in the house that needed full time care too. He laced up his boots and did everything in his power to keep us going. It was right then that I knew I was blessed beyond measure by this selfless man. My wedding day was extremely special. We made it so far, through all the trials and tribulations. We overcame so much and went through hell and back a few different times. I've relapsed and had a very hard 3 years so making it to that day and getting to have all my closest friends and family witnessing our wedding meant so much to us! Our story is a fairytale in my eyes, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I couldn't stop crying and shaking when I saw him coming down the aisle just thanking God for this man and his hand in all of this. It was a day I wish I could relive over and over again."
