We met through mutual friends and I knew he was the one after a trip we had taken together. Not only that, but we’re soon to celebrate 9 years together next April and it doesn’t feel like it! Really is true how time passes when you find someone who makes you happy. So Thomas had proposed July 1st 2021 at FireFly grill in Effingham, IL. My parents and brother live in Neoga, IL but all my husbands family lives in Greenville, SC (where we’re all originally from). He wanted it to be special and do it where my family could celebrate as well. I HAD NO IDEA! Thought we were going for a casual date night/dinner. Didn’t dress up or wear anything fancy. He dropped down on one knee right under the willow tree while the hostess was kind enough to take our picture”. It was beautiful, and I don’t remember anything he said from all the shock! Took me about a week to get over that. Our wedding was perfect in every way for us! It flys by so fast when you look back on all the planning but it was what we wanted. From getting ready, to our private vows, actual ceremony it was perfect. Thomas and I did a “first touch” where we read our private vows to each other and decided after we would read them aloud in front of our families. It was very touching for us as we both shared happy tears together. When the curtains opened and I saw my soon to be husband for the first time dressed up I remember having the biggest smile! Our dance was perfect, my dad surprised me with a remix half way through ours and both Thomas’s mom and step mom cried dancing with him. We danced the night away together, and ended the night with a private last dance together after doing our floating lantern release. I found my wedding dress online at your store long before and knew it was the one. I had tried on others prior to coming to your store, but already had my heart set on the dress of my dreams!! Needed very minor alterations, and was a complete showstopper. Not to mention, very comfortable! My husband thought I was beautiful, and couldn’t have picked better. The staff at your shop was amazing and Bailey made me feel so special the day I came in.”
